Navigation Program

At the Arizona Center for Cancer Care we have created a fully comprehensive Head and Neck Cancer Navigation Program, developed to focus on the whole patient. We wish to insure that the afore mentioned oversights do not occur during your treatment for this complex disease. Head and Neck Cancers present the highest likelihood for complications, due to the sensitivity of the areas affected, and the complexity of the treatment itself. We find it necessary to look at all of the aspects of care that the other Oncology Providers, simply, do not. These protocols have allowed us to boast a success rate that is almost 20% higher than the national average.

Our Navigation Program is a 6 Phase platform that concludes with a surveillance component, upon completion the cancer treatment, in order to insure that any concerns are addressed, immediately, in order to prevent future complications. We will maintain surveillance as patients take part in our survivorship program.

The Six Phases of AZCCC’s Navigation Program

1. Referral and Diagnosis
2. Evaluation and Staging
3. Preparation and Education
4. Treatment
5. Recovery
6. Surveillance
