Camaria Tapia, MSN, FNP-C

Camaria Tapia, MSN, FNP-C, is an Arizona native who was born in Flagstaff and raised in West Phoenix. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northern Arizona University and went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing at Grand Canyon University.

Camaria began her nursing career as a progressive care nurse at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center, where she developed a strong foundation in managing high-acuity patients. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she served as a travel nurse, providing care in both Tucson and Colorado Springs, gaining valuable experience in diverse healthcare settings during a critical time in patient care.

She further specialized in oncology during her three years at City of Hope (formerly Cancer Treatment Centers of America), where she developed a deep commitment to caring for patients with complex oncologic needs. While pursuing her graduate degree, Camaria expanded her clinical experience working in residential substance use treatment at The Hope House and as an infusion registered nurse with HonorHealth, further strengthening her skills in patient education, chronic disease management, and infusion therapy.

Outside of her professional role, Camaria enjoys spending quality time with her family and traveling with her husband and their dogs. She has a personal goal of visiting all major U.S. national parks, including Yellowstone National Park, Yosemite National Park, Glacier National Park, and Rocky Mountain National Park.

Proud to be born and raised in Arizona, Camaria is passionate about serving her community and is dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality care to the populations she serves.
