John Roller, MD

Dr. John Roller is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of a broad range of cancers and blood disorders. He is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each patient’s individual needs.

Dr. Roller earned his Bachelor of Arts from Creighton University in 2012 and his medical degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences in 2016. During medical school, he was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society in recognition of his compassionate patient care, leadership, and dedication to humanistic medicine.

He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas, in 2019. He remained at the institution to pursue fellowship training in Medical Oncology and Hematology, which he completed in 2023. His training provided extensive experience managing complex oncologic and hematologic conditions, with a strong emphasis on patient-centered care and the latest evidence-based treatments.

Since 2023, Dr. Roller has served as a staff medical oncologist and hematologist at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center at Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix, where he has provided comprehensive cancer care to patients throughout Arizona.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Roller enjoys running, reading, playing tennis and volleyball, and watching sports.
