Dr. Brendan Curley specializes in Medical Oncology, Hematology and Internal Medicine. His clinical interests include breast, colon, lung and prostate cancer, and has strong experience and interest in hematologic malignancies. He also enjoys caring for and treating all aspects of benign hematology. He has strong research background in improving patient’s quality of care and patient understanding of their diagnosis and treatment.
Dr. Curley joined Arizona Center for Cancer Care in 2014. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Seton Hall University in New Jersey. He completed medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania. Dr. Curley completed both his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine/Hahnemann University Hospital, in Philadelphia, PA. He completed his fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at West Virginia University School of Medicine, where he served as chief fellow his final year.
Dr. Curley has been published in several medical journals, including The Journal of Oncology Practice, Clinical Lymphoma, Myeloma, & Leukemia, and The American Journal of Medical Sciences. He authored the breast cancer chapter in fourth edition of The Bethesda Handbook of Clinical Oncology. Dr. Curley is a multi-year winner of the American Society of Clinical Oncology Merit Award awarded to fellows with highly regarded research. During fellowship, he was twice named fellow of the year and was recognized by the Department of Medicine for his academic excellence and research achievements.
Dr. Curley is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, and American Osteopathic Association. He enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters, and English Bulldog.
