Dr. James Choi specializes in hematology, medical oncology and internal medicine.

Dr. Choi joined Arizona Center for Cancer Care in October 2008. He received his Bachelor degree in Biochemistry at Case Western Reserve University. He completed medical school at Wright State University School of Medicine, his medical residency at Loyola University Medical Center and fellowship at the University of Arizona Medical Center where he was the chief fellow.

Dr. Choi has participated in a number of research studies involving role of U5 in mRNA splicing complex, second allogeneic transplant for relapsed high-grad hematologic malignancies, radiation therapy for gastroesophageal junction and gastric carcinoma as well as transcriptosome profiling of B-CLL to identify novel markers for prognosis and therapeutic targets.

In addition to his research, Dr. Choi has been published in the Journal of Bone Marrow Transplant and has presented his research findings at the American Society of Hematology
Annual Meeting.
