Arizona Center for Cancer Care is proud to bring the highest level of cancer treatment and blood disease to one of the fastest growing communities for Apache Junction cancer care. Even more, cancer treatment will now be easier and more convenient for many in the far east valley.
Oncologists diagnose and treat cancers of all types. They use diagnostic tools like biopsies. Even more, they do X-ray and other imaging. In addition they offer nuclear medicine, and blood tests. Cancer surgeons, or surgical oncologists, remove tumors, while medical oncologists treat cancers with chemotherapy. Radiation oncologists use multiple forms of radiation in an effort to eliminate tumors.
The new location for Apache Junction care offers chemotherapy infusion. In addition, the new locations offers radiation therapy, iron infusions, biologic therapy. In addition, immunotherapy and genetic counselling are offered.
About Dr. Sanjeev Gopal
Dr. Gopal is originally from New Delhi, India. He went to All India Institute of Medical Sciences for medical school. In addition, he moved to the USA in 1993. Furthermore, he completed residency in Internal Medicine at State University of New York at Brooklyn. Finally, he decided to pursue fellowships in Medical Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation. In turn, he is board certified in Medical Oncology and Internal Medicine. In addition, he has been in practice since 1999. Furthermore, his area of special interest is Gastrointestinal malignancies. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Moreover, Dr. Gopal’s philosophy is that every patient is unique with different issues. Therefore, personalized treatment is essential for every patient. In conclusion, he believes oncology is about taking care of patients, not just taking care of their cancer.
