Biography
Dr. Ben O’Neill Donovan – an Arizona native – specializes in urology, with an emphasis on pediatric urology. His pediatric urology expertise includes complex urethral reconstruction, laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery including laparoscopic pyeloplasty, ureteral reimplant and orchidopexy, as well as bladder reconstruction and urinary diversion. He also has expertise in minimally invasive, robotic and laparoscopic surgeries.
He joined Arizona Center for Cancer Care in 2010 when his team at Valley Urology Associates, entered into partnership with them. Dr. Donovan earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Arizona State University and his Medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine. He then continued his training in general surgery, followed by completing a residency in urology at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. Dr. Donovan subsequently furthered his training by completing a fellowship in pediatric urology at the Children’s Hospital of Oklahoma, under the supervision of world-renown pediatric urologist Bradley P. Kropp.
Dr. Donovan is a member of the American Urologic Association, Endourologic Association, American Academy of Pediatrics and American Medical Association. He has his Pediatric Urology Subspecialty Certification by the American Board of Urology.
He is a multi-year “Top Doc” honoree by Phoenix Magazine.
